The Art of the Table: Tablescaping
Location: Learning Lab at Living Design Foundation
Langley, WA
Tablescaping
This tablescaping workshop is one of the classes in the exciting “Art of The Table” series. Join us for one or all of them! I’m really excited for this collaboration with The Living Design Foundation. Come meet this dynamic new group and see their beautiful classroom at the Learning Lab – and learn about tablescaping!
What IS tablescaping, you ask? Well, it is when you consider the whole of your table from a decorative perspective, rather than simply setting it. Instead of simply setting the table, use things you have “laying around the house” to create an interesting and engaging table. A tablescape can transform a normal dinner into a special experience. I’ll demonstrate a few ideas, and we’ll have props on hand so you can play & experiment and develop your own table style. It’ll be fun! Even though the pictures below show quite fancy tablescapes, we will play with approachable, casual and artful ideas; things you can do with items on hand and no or little expense.
This class is held on both Sat Feb 2 & Tues Feb 5, from 10am-1pm. The cost is $100. A light lunch will be served and all materials will be included. You will go home with load of ideas – bring your camera!!
