Elegant Greenery: Seattle Wedding at Sodo Park
Seattle Wedding at Sodo Park, Autumn 2018

I could practically say that every wedding I do is my favorite because each is so unique and wonderful in its own way. But this Sodo Park wedding is seriously a gem. The couple, S&B, was extra lovely to work with. They both always had a smile on their face and were prone to small bursts of giggles, which made working with them a joy. Their theme was “Pacific NW Elegant”. To communicate that we used generous helpings of greenery, metallic gold accents, and lots of layers to create a lush & lavish feeling. The colors were green and white, and to warm it up we added touches of butter and a hint of blush. All the Roses are California grown, all the other flowers are locally grown, and of course everything was made without floral foam. Luxury weddings can still have sustainable designs! Sodo Park is a great venue. Even empty and undecorated it has a great vibe. With its soaring ceilings, cozy brick walls, and beautiful old beams there’s plenty of palette to play with. S&B’s Persian wedding is one to dig into, and there’s no shortage of eye candy. Though it can be spendy, I really love it when couples hire a great videographer. I have such fond memories of “home movies” when I was a kid – and we still do old slide shows at holidays. It’s a great laugh and a heartwarming way for families to bond. So I was really excited when I saw how Mitch from Cabfare Productions used snips of “old school” looking footage in this sweet video. I’m sure S&B will treasure it forever!
And now, dig on in to loads of stellar photos from Alante – masters of their craft!

This floral chandelier is 15' in diameter!!

Presto-Change-O! Ceremony area becomes a reception area, and the greenery chandelier really becomes important!

The heritage of this couple is Persian, so it was important that this Seattle Wedding at Sodo Park would have a Sofreh Aghd. This was a super fun experience for us to design. We had the help of their family – lots of lovely Aunties and friends were involved in these details along with us. What a beautiful offering was created!
