A Whidbey Island barn wedding with an upscale vibe
This summer I had the pleasure of working with Meriel and Kirsten, planning the décor for their Whidbey Island barn wedding at Greenbank Farms. What great people! Enjoy these great photos by Michael Stadler.
I had a great time designing the bouquets to go with their totally fabulous designer dresses. I think I did a pretty good job at accessorizing, don’t you?
They held their ceremony at the top of the hill at Greenbank, where the view is just fabulous in any direction. It was a glorious day!
For inside the barn, we wanted to give a relaxed and warm but still chic and upscale feel. We chose grey, coral and red for the colors. I wrapped the columns of the barn with draping and greenery to liven up the room. For the centerpieces, I used locally & sustainably grown blooms including Zinnia, Dahlia, Dusty Miller, Scented Geranium, Chocolate Cosmos, and more.
The tables were all named after one of their favorite places. I love the bamboo chairs! They were used during the ceremony and then brought down afterward.
Serendipity Catering provided the food. Not only was it delicious, but they have a super friendly staff! The guests raved.
Isn’t the flower girl cute in her crown?
