Country Chic is hot this summer. Nostalgia is “in”. We are taking our decor cues from simpler times, choosing rustic, casual and homey materials that translate a familiar, comfortable vibe. The mason jar is a very popular container. For this wedding, we chose to use a burlap wrap, accented with cute lime green ribbons – note the sweet print on them! For the Bride’s bouquet, creamy Roses, Hydrangea and Dahlias provide a lush feeling. Nigella and Lady’s Mantle introduce the green color accent. The bride fell in love with Crespidia, so I included some of them too!
Silvers and grays are hot wedding colors this season. This bride added lime to really make the silver pop! The Bridesmaids in this wedding wore charcoal gray dresses. We used their bouquets to emphasize the color theme of silver and green. I chose green Spider mums, ‘Green Trick’ Dianthus, and green Hydrangea. Played against the greens were the fuzzy-leaved Dusty Miller for both color and old-fashioned feeling, silver Eucalyptus to continue the silver theme and to provide nice texture. The combination was rounded out with the other-worldly texture of green-laced white Nigella flowers and Lady’s Mantle. Enjoy!
