Despite the relaxed, rural pace of life here, there is a rich offering of artisinal providers for your wedding or event.  There is an abundance of opportunities for guest entertainment.  With so many local farms it is easy to have a farm-to-table dining experience, and the emergence of several small professional flower farms can compliment that with the opportunity for using locally-grown flowers in your centerpieces!  Here at Vases Wild that is one of our specialties – I love to support local farmers!

In addition to the great venues on the south end (see my last blog post) there are lots of talented event professionals available to serve your wedding or special event.  If you need a referral for a caterer, photographer, or any other sort of provider for your wedding, call us!  We welcome the opportunity to help.  In addition, Vases Wild offers wedding planning and day-of coordination services as well as a la carte event coaching.  We’re happy to help in any way we can.

Whidbey Island offers lots for your guests to see and do.  Nature-oriented activities abound!  Choose from whale-watching, kayaking, beachcombing, cycling, birding or hiking.  If that is not your cup of tea, feast your eyes!  Visit the many artist studios and galleries; take in a play at  WICA or the Shakespeare festival.  If you are inspired by your sense of taste, follow the wine trail to the many Island wineries and distilleries.  Visiting the many great local restaurants that serve food grown on our local farms.  We have several farmers’ markets to enjoy as well.  You could buy a wonderful picnic from the farmers market and charter a boat for an afternoon on the water!

No need to worry about lodging.  We have Inns, hotels, motels, cottages, and B&Bs, not to mention the many vacation homes available.

If any of this seems overwhelming, give me a call.  I’d be happy to help you pinpoint a few vendors for your event, or activities for your guests.  I love my Island, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
