Venue: Private home on Whidbey Island | Photos: Carina Skrobecki
Weddings at home can be beautiful! This Whidbey Island backyard boho wedding was a sun-soaked gorgeous affair. The colors the couple chose were almost good enough to eat & looked glorious in the later summer sun: butter, caramel, biscuit, fig, peach, and berry. Blooms included sustainably-sourced Roses and locally grown Dahlias, garden Roses, Rosehips, Zinnias, heirloom Mums, Cherry Caramel Phlox, Sahara Rudbeckia, Chocolate Cosmos, and Eucalyptus along with Pampas grass to capture a tawny meadow feeling. For the ceremony, the groom built a triangular arch backdrop that we bedecked with floral sprays. The al fresco reception twinkled under string lights and taper candles on makeshift slab-wood tables that were lush with an eclectic mix of rentals from Balancing Balloons. Small centerpieces and bud vases atop the dusty rose runners provided a finishing touch. Enjoy the gorgeous photos of this stylish and fun Whidbey Island backyard wedding.
