Lara & Sam met at a restaurant. She was front of house; he was in the kitchen. Their romance centered around food, hospitality and entertaining, so it was only natural that would be the reference point for their Whidbey Island wedding. It was my delight to help this couple plan a farm-to-table Dancing Fish Vineyards wedding. Each decision centered around what felt true to them, and created the most comfort for their guests. Working from this perspective created a day that felt genuine and really comfortable – and this shines through in their photos.
We chose cream, orange and coral with touches of blush and burgundy for the flowers. We used locally grown flowers. We wanted farm to table for the food AND the flowers! The centerpieces were mostly just little clusters of budvases and bottles, to leave room for the family style meal service.
