Flower Farmer’s Market makes the news!

I am a florist who proudly specializes in using locally grown blooms.  One of my favorite sources for the best, freshest product is the Seattle Wholesale Growers’ Market.  It is a collection of small, local professional flower and foliage growers who use sustainable agriculture practices.    Yesterday was their Dahlia festival.  It was fun, and the flowers were incredible.  There was even an article in the Seattle Times about it.  And I was quoted!  Have a looksee!  And here’s a photo of the Dahlia wall, and of some of my favorite cultivars.

And this is only SOME of the Dahlias the market farmers grow!!  I like the one below, Holly Hill Orange, as it reminds me of a creamsicle!

I don’t know the name of this one.  I’m just going to call it punk rock Dahlia!
