Dancing Fish Farm is South Whidbey Island’s hottest new barn venue. What a beauty she is! I had the honor of doing florals & event design for one of the first events there.
Carleigh and Mike are a great couple, fun and relaxed with an eclectic sense of style. Don’t they look happy? Aren’t those barn doors a gorgeous backdrop?
The ceremony was held in the barn. Look at all those beautiful rafters! We lined the aisles with the flowers that would also become the table centerpieces.
Their theme colors were green, pink and white. They had chosen a great avocado theme for their invites & save the dates, so we decided to bring that color into the event with the linens. Since it was a wedding, Carleigh wanted to keep a romantic touch. Since her dress was lace, we wanted to bring that element in, with lovely overlays for the head table. You can see it here, waiting for the bride and bridesmaid bouquets to help decorate it when the ceremony is through. Incidentally, those chairs come with the venue.
I love it when the couple add their own funky touches that make the event truly theirs – the pool-ball table numbers and the smudge sticks. All the flowers for this wedding were locally and sustainably grown!
The lovely couple got special seats!
This brave girl wore GREEN for her wedding! I LOVE it – doesn’t she look fabulous?!
And of course we need a close-up of that bridal bouquet! It included lots of Dahlia, garden Rose, Blushing Bride Protea, Sweetheart Roses – all American-grown!
The boutonniere was fun to make!
Thanks to Daniel Usenko for the great images. I loved creating these dancing fish vineyard wedding flowers.
